Holidays 2008: Parts 1-8

The following eight posts cover the first three weeks of our summer holiday, from 19 June to 10 July. This was the part when the kids and I were travelling on our own, camping and staying with relatives. (It was a challenge to bring all our camping equipment with us: tent, sleeping bags, air mattress/cot, beach gear, etc. etc. But I managed to get it all in six checked and three carry-on bags! With even a teeny bit of room to spare for all the stuff we might buy while travelling...) We flew to Vancouver, toured the Island and then flew from Vancouver to Kelowna where we met Laolao and Laoye who had driven out from Alberta to meet us.
