I am thrilled to announce that I have received a referral for a beautiful 4-1/2 year old boy!!! His Ethiopian name is Asegid. He was born on 1 December 2002 and has lived at the orphanage most of his life. He is an Oromo and of the Orthodox religion. He is 103 cm tall and weighs 16 kg. The description says he likes playing with blocks, being read to (yay!), swinging and being held. Assegid is described as a happy boy who plays well with others and has a warm, gentle and loving spirit. His best friend is Tsion, a 3-1/2 year old playmate at the orphanage.
By the time we travel to Ethiopia to bring him home – sometime in fall – he will be very close to the same age Giggles was when she came home from China.
P.S. Time from DTE (Dossier to Ethiopia) to referral: 3 weeks!
